questions about combination skin and some products

hey guys!!!! :D i'm new here and i had a couple of questions:

first, what concealer, foundation, and powder is the best for combination skin? My skin is oily in the T-zone but dry in many places. I have some acne, not too much, but my major problem is blemishes (purple sometimes red.) I've heard about almay, cover girl, and l'oreal.

second, is concealer applied before foundation, or the other way around? I'm trying to get the really light make up, almost not there look. Do you recommend anything for that?

third, about the fast and flawless sally hansen airbrush foundation, do u recommend the "no color" or the "natural beige" (since thats what matches my skin tone)? and how does that really work?

Thanks soooooo much for all of your help!!! :)

Another great site is Makeup Alley. http://www.makeupalley.com Go to Productville to check out the reviews, or you can go to the makeup board and post the question!

I have always had great luck with Prescriptives foundation, they are a great color match and have never given my skin any problems. Right now I use their foundation in Virtual Youth, but that may be more coverage than what you are looking for.

I have to tell you that hands-down the best concealers I have ever, ever found are by Ben Nye. This is a line of theatrical/film cosmetics that are super, super cheap and cover like a dream. There are tons of options as far as color and coverage. There are a couple of concealers that have been formulated specifically for redness and scarring. Mellow Yellow and Corvette cover-up are in this group. You can find the line at some costume shops or you can order from http://www.wyb.com

For powder I have always stuck with Prescriptives custom blend. This is pricey, but they are able to add in oil control or moisture depending on how your skin is acting. This, unfortuently is not available at all Prescriptive counters. :D Lancome makes an awesome pressed powder called Matte, it is so smooth in its application! There photogenic pressed is also very nice. Beware of any powders that contain cornstarch, some people, like me, are allergic and it will cause break-outs. Laura Mercier's loose powder goes on like a dream and controls oil nicely, but contains cornstarch and breaks me out. Her pressed powder, however, does not and is a nice option. I know there are good reviews on makeup alley for some powders by cover girl, maybelline, etc. Neutrogena's pressed powder gives good coverage and the one that has SPF protection blends on very smooth.

I hope my ramblings have helped! Good Luck!!!
