Ok well I've been using chlorhexidine for awhile now and it works great. The problem is, I'm starting to run out of my Endure 400 (brand name of the chlorhexidine), and the company has stopped making it so I can't get anymore. In the first place, my dad gave it to me because he's a doctor and he uses it at his office for hand-cleaning. Now he tells me there's a new product out for disinfecting that's as powerful as chlorhexidine (if not more) and is completely non-toxic. The name of the product is EcoTru made by the company EnviroSystems. I haven't actually tried the product yet, but when it arrives I will of course keep you guys posted.

I think i'm gonna try this...gonna e-mail the comany first though and see if they recommend it for facial acne cleansing multiple times per day.

My skin is just to sensitive for Dettol.

Sincerely,

Guy who doesn't post here often

Ok well today my dad phoned me and said he talked to the supplier in Vancouver. Apparently it's perfectly fine to use on your face for acne. You could even drink it or wash your eyes with it! Apparently it's powerful enough to kill hepatitis, TB, etc. I haven't got a full bottle of it but the guy gave my dad a wipe that I used on my face a couple hours ago. It feels great! It's not harsh at all, and it leaves your face feeling soft and clean. I'm really excited about this stuff.

Cheers,

Chris

anyone know where i can buy a single bottle of this stuff. i'm using hibiclens right now, but this stuff looks like it's worth a shot too. not to mention, this stuff comes in spray bottles. you could just spray some on your face throughout the day since it's non-toxic.

Wow this stuff looks the dogs bollocks! I found this place that is taking orders http://www.safetyplus.net/ecotru.html#56ECO8 its a shame its only available in the USA. How abouts one of you nice ones send me some over the pond! lol.

I just tried the checkout with that site and it lists Canada and asks for the "Postal Code/Province".

Actually ALL the countries are listed.

I wonder if this can clog pores though. Still waiting back on their e-mail...

A gallon? lol u crazy mo fo. I just got me an 8oz bottle for testing but its $9 shipping to the uk so i hope its worth it! How long do u reckon 8oz of this stuff will last if i use it twice daily? i wonder how long packing will take aswell. I have tried using provon before but it was too irritating, hopefully this stuff will have the effectiveness without the irritants, it doesnt even need to be washed off lol.

Ok dude so i was looking at the clinical trials on the website and it says it only has 0.20% PCMX in it. Surely thats not enough to do the job right? Although thinking about it you dont even need to wash it off so if it stays on the face for 6 hours at a time it will be a lot more effective then say provon which is washed off within 30 seconds. We need more info on this bad mo fo.

Ok, so how do you all plan to use this stuff? Washing the face first and then using it like a toner? Gonna leave it on or rinse it off? Just curious.

I sure will! Btw I've tried a wipe of it and it was really nice. Only had one though so I can't really say how well it worked. My bottle should be here soon though!

yeah, it says on the site that the product is hypoallergenic, meaning it should be non-comedogenic as well. it does seem pretty cool, except it doesn't say anywhere that it eliminates P. acnes bacteria, which makes me a little hesitant...but you never know. I'm thinking of ordering it just to see what it's like. Sounds pretty cool; good find chris_23! good luck to anyone using it.

Nanotechnology is the fad right now. Maybe it's time to invest in a few select companies. This Ecotru looks promising and if only EnviroSystems, Inc. make a skin care line, I think it will be a hit. This means that the amount of PCMX should be more than 0.2% (perhaps 1%). If I have money, I'll probably be one of the venture capitalists lining up to start the skin care line.

And so during my research on Nanotechnology, a company called BioNova actually makes a skin care line (both for men and women of all skin types and ethnic backgrounds) using this technology. Check them out:

BIONOVA's Acne care products target multiple acne-causing factors - (1) improve metabolism of dysfunctional skin cells; (2) purifie obstructed skin pores to reduce the intensity of blemishes; (3) control skin oil by reducing sebum production; (4) unclog bacteria-filled pores, and (5) exert strong anti-bacterial effects. The specially developed bacterial control nanocomplex prevents and reduces skin inflammation. Our approach allows two types of solutions for acne problems.

Their Acne+Scar Treatment is the one to check out. I believe most, if not all, of their acne line has Chloroxylenol. The ingredient list is overwhelming!
