Need opinion on Smoothbeam at Avalon Spa & Salon

I am not sure if this is the right forum to be asking this. Mr. Moderator, please move it to the right forum if necessary.

My wife has cystic acne in addition to the surface pimples. Since we are planning to get pregnant, she had to give up Minocycline, which was working quite well for her. We just finished trying Clearlight, which did not seem to do much good. After reading about Smoothbeam, we decided to give it a shot. We found a place in Edinburg, Texas, called Avalon Spa & Salon, which seems to offer Smoothbeam for $250 per session and $750 for 6 sessions. Since it is so much cheaper than other places that we have found, we are not sure if we should go to them. Does anyone have any experience with these people? Since we live in Monterrey, Mexico, which is only 2.5 hrs driving from Edinburg, TX, it is a very attractive option. They have an aesthetician who does the consultation and Smoothbeam. The other option we have is Dr. Friedman in Houston who charges $500 + $200 airfare per session.

Please share you experience about these non-medical installations which carry out Smoothbeam.
