Does BP cause breakouts??

Recommended Posts

I was wondering whether BP cause breakouts? I have lots of closed condemones (white heads) And can I use it on my face with Differin? Someone please reply.

Also, i was wondering which brand would be better Neutrogena on the spot or the Oxy stuff. Or are there any other reccoomendations.

Oh by the way i'm going to using it on my back as well. Is 2.5 BP strong enough to use on the back?

BP is absolutely not comedogenic, but irritation it causes can perform breakouts. If you keep your skin moiste, not oily, and not too irritated, BP is safe.

Moreover, BP is especially efficient for closed comedones treatment.

I don't have answer for your other questions.

On the back it is okay to use BP 10% as the skin is stronger, but maybe you should start out with 2.5% or 5% to get the skin use to the BP.

No, you can't use differin with BP. I'm pretty sure about that. Differin makes your skin super sensitive, and the BP would just totally screw up your skin, in my opinion. The Duac gel I use on my face is 10% BP, and I've had no problems with it. It's just important to remember to moisturize your skin or else the BP will dry it out and make you scaly.
