hi im a noob when it comes to dealing with red marks.

ï have lots of red marks in some areas. and also large patches of my skin that are simply red (i have brown skin).

a few weeks ago i decided to go tan a lot to hide the red marks so i have been tanning until last week where i decided to stop. i stopped because i got theese reddish patches. they are quite big and they are not red marks.

it also seems that the skin around my red marks is more red.

anyway will theese patches go away ? and how can i get rid of my red marks without irritating my skin more?

You might want to try:

- lactic acid

or

- vita k for blotchy skin

or

- the vinegar/lemon method (check out the thread)

Does anyone have experiene with Lustra-AF? My derm prescribed it to me for my hyperpigmentation. It has hydroquinone 4%, alphy hydroxy, and exfoliators in it.

How long before the hyperpigmentation goes? My derm said to give it a month and everything should be gone.

do these patches itch you? if they do then i had the exact same thing...

you must stop using any kind of perfumed product on your skin; this is what my dermatologist told me. I think it was dermatitis, which is a red itchy rash. Use aqueous cream to wash your face and the redness goes.

This is assuming you had what i had, which is of course a HUGE assumption...

no they do not itch. and i dont use any perfumed products. actually i havent been using any cleansers or moisturizers for about 4 weeks. they get less visible when i apply moisturizer, even though my skin is oily as hell.

maybe i got them from tanning, cuz i have been tanning some lately.
