A US based company has a NEW and Improved version of Restalyn it is a more pure form of Hylaronic acid and a smaller molecular weight. It is supposed to be easier to inject and attract and retain water better and give a better longer lasting result. It is now availble in europe (not a surprise) but it could be years before it can be used in the US (though maybe since other types just like it are used it might not take as long) Any one know if there are any studies and if you can sign up?

Thanks

This isn't exactly what you are referring to, but I have read regarding the improved version of Restylane. Supposedly lasts up to 18 month.

RESTYLANE SubQ has the same advantages as other RESTYLANE products for instant esthetic treatments – it is natural, safe and effective. The main differences from the other RESTYLANE products are the size of the gel particles (approx. 1,000 per ml) and the intended tissue depth where RESTYLANE SubQ should be injected.

or http://www.medics.ch/aesthetic_products2.htm

RESTYLANE Perlane has the largest gel particles in the RESTYLANE product range and is intended for shaping the contours of the face, for correcting deeper folds and for lip enhancement. Because of its larger particle size, RESTYLANE Perlane should be injected into the deep dermis or the superficial layers of the subcutis.
