I am currently using Cetaphil cleanser which is ok but rather expensive. I have seen some Pears Translucent Soap in my local drugstore which is supposedly hypo-allergenic and non-comodegenic. It has a very short list of ingredients which I figure to be good as there's less 'crap' in it.

One of the ingredients is Glycerin. I have seen conflicting opinions about whether this is good or bad for acneic skin. What are the opinions of those here?

Hey your reading my mind!!!

I too am using Cetaphil which like you said is OK but a little on the pricey side, and just the other day was looking at Pears soap at the grocery store wondering if I should give it a whirl.

I still have a fair bit left in my Cetaphil bottle so I won't be trying anything else for a while yet... but if you do try the Pears soap it would be great if you came back and let me know how it goes smile.gif

As for glycerin, as far as I know it is ok.

I was looking at making my own soap using a type of glycerine as a base... but if Pears is good then I can save myself alot of hassle.
