Hi, I'm a 35-year old male and have finally been prescribed accutane for my acne, however my acne is predominanty very persistant closed comedones (though they do get easily inflamed and turn into pustules), and my dermatologist says that accutane won't shift these (though will prevent new ones forming) and I'm going to have to undergo three 30 minute electrosurgical procedures (after having applied a topical local anaesthetic gel). Has anyone else had electrosurgery? I was wondering what the downtime was afterwards i.e. how bad will I look after each session, and for how long? Do you think I would need to take the next day or two off work? I don't want to have to go into work with a load of blisters all over my chin...
