Another moisturizer question...

Recommended Posts

I just got put on accutane about a week ago, and my dermatologist said that I could use as much moisturizer I wanted, as long as it wasn't in the problem areas. However, that doesn't seem to make much sense. Every post I've read talks about using it all over, including the parts where you break out. I don't have any zits whatsoever on my face...it's only on my back; so I'm not sure if I should be applying moisturizer that's non comodegenic on my back. What do you y'all think?

well, I don't ever apply any lotions on my body. They make me feel dirty. So I say don't worry unless it starts peeling...then you can. Your derm is stupid to tell you that. Buy oil-free, non comedonic moisturizer and do whatever you want with it! smile.gif

the skin on my body is sooooooo smooth on accutane I can't believe it!

You're lucky not to have acne on your face though.

I never used a body moisturizer until I got on the 'tane. I have used mosturizer on my "problem" areas and I have no complications to report as a result.
