I don't really wear blush that often, but I am so pale that I thought it might be nice to try. How do you know what shade to choose?

It's a matter of trial and error. But usually you choose a colour based on your skin colour and tone.

For example, if your light skinned and you have a cool skintone, then you should try to find shades that are light and a cool to neutral colour.

Also, imo, when you have light skin, I think blush looks best in pink or pinky peach shades.

If you want to try a bronzer, in the spirit of summer, you should get the lightest shade, because if not you risk the chance of making your skin look dirty. And that goes for any dark shade you use on light skin.

MAC's blushes are great plus the makeup artists are wonderful at helping pick the right shade. Also had good luck with NARS.

it's really great for just a touch of natural color just to brighten your skin.
