TCA Peel v. Dermabrasion

Recommended Posts

Can a medium depth TCA Peel give the same results as a dermabrasion? I don't see why it wouldn't because a medium depth Peel goes as deep as the dermabrasion, doesn't it?

I think a dermabrasion is deeper, but I had great improvements on PIGMENTATION from tca 30- 35%. I had some small indented scars which took a few tca peels (i only did them) to come u pto skin level. I'm doing hopefully my last one (40%) this thursday, since ill be done finals. If ur only do slight scarring and pigmentation then it's a safer choice. I've read about a lot of people having problems after dermabrasion since it's more abrasive.

Hey Lexi,

Just had Dermabrasion 3 weeks ago other than being red like a lobster, most of the uneaveness on the skin and bumps has 60% disappear.  Doc. says in about 6 to 12 months you can see the the total improvement (Collogen coming back in to places that are lower etc..).

[if you decide to go for dermabrasion, make sure you research the doctor. I have heard some horror stories online about people have permanent scarring. Not trying to scare you from doing it, cause i've also read positive stories. I think it's what doctor you choose.
