Make-up tip for even coverage/natural blending

Recommended Posts

This is my first time to this board and so far I've been seeing some comments about fair-skinned people's makeup looking fine inside and then looking orange outside etc. etc. The very best place to apply makeup is in front of a window using only the light from the window as your guide. (turn off the overhead light or the lamp) Natural light is the most revealing as far as blemishes go and can help you spot uneven blending and foundation lines from a mile away. If you're applying makeup before the sun's up then I'd make a quick check in the car right before or in the bathroom right after arriving to work or school or wherever your destination may be. (flourescent lighting doesn't lie to you as much as the lighting in your room will at the beginning of the day)

You may also purchase lightbulbs designed to give off lighting similar to that of natural light to help solve any makeup blunders like orangeness or heavy-looking foundations. Because who wants to get where you're going only to take a peek in the mirror at the end of the day before leaving and get a nasty surprise?

Anyways, I hope I've helped and haven't rambled too much.
