Dermabrasion vs TCA cross

Recommended Posts

I still don't get the TCA cross, after reading the threads.

TCA cross:

1. If you're burning/exfoliating skin off in TCA cross, then how do you expect scar to level out with surrounding skin?

2. If you're trying to promote collagen growth by disrupting tissues, how do you know that you're not damaging them?

Dermabrasion is the sloughing off of skin so that scars are level with surrounding skin.

And how would chemical peels level scars with surrounding tissue when you are peeling regular and scar skins at the same time? And wouldn't the application of acid peels on scars only deepen the scar?

Someone explain with some scientific answer to all this, not with some quacky theory about what they assume is going on.
