Anyone tried Bakers Yeast Facials?

Recommended Posts

Awhile ago I heard about using bakers yeast (yes, the same stuff you bake bread with) as a mask for acne. I tried it, mixing the yeast with a bit of warm/hot water to form a thick paste, then smeared it all over my face. It may sound icky, but it wasn't, although it was odd to have my face smell like baking bread. Plus, as it dries it cracks and you look like a mummy.

Anyway, it worked. I began doing the facials every day for a half hour, right after I washed my face at night. It made my skin smooth and clear. Unfortunately, for me it stopped working after 2 years, but that's just how my skin works. I would recomend trying it, though, because it's a great and cheap way to clear up skin. Be cautious, however, because it can be irritating if left on too long, and turn your face red (temporarily).
