my derma told me to avoid sweating as it may cause pimples. however, i've read in another acne board that on the contrary, exercise seems to clear their skin and help red marks heal quicker, since you shed your dead skin cells and all.. so what have u guys experienced?

I've read opinions that exercise:

- increases circulation which carries essential nutrients to the skin

- the sweating opens pores and expels toxins from the body

- improves overall health which will be reflected in the skin

I agree that the skin needs to be cleansed as soon as possible after exercising to keep perspiration and oils from clogging the pores.

As long as you wash after exercising you shouldn't have a problem. Not exercising is bad for your health. You will probably notice that you clear up faster if you exercise.
