Light chemical peel?

Recommended Posts

I'm 14 and have a couple of pretty bad scars on my face (mostly not from acne, one from stitches, couple I've had all my life and then maybe a few little spots from acne). I was wondering about a light chemical peel would help my problems? I googled chemical peels, and it sounds like the light one is alpha hydroxyacids which are from fruits and other foods. It is supposed to be effective in treating dry skin, acne, decreasing pore size, and improving texture. I've read it is usually done 6-8 times 2-3 weeks apart, leaving the skin with a red glow for a day or two. This type of peel leaves the skin with a red glow that only lasts for a day or so.

Sounds too good to be true though, has anyone here done this kind of peel? Is it a reasonable treatment for my age? And more importantly, how bad will it hurt? lol
