Has anyone had any success with not digesting dairy products? I have fairly mild acne but recently developed bumps on my both my neck and cheeks. I've handled the first "wave" of these fairly well but do not look forward to dealing with them again. I'm already on a fairly intensive regimen and I doub there anything topically or internally that I can do differently besides change my diet.

Thanks.

i think it is worth a try. I stopped drinking milk or eating yogurt and i don't get cysts anymore. I still have zits but not like before.

When I was in highschool I was addicted to milk. I would drink about a gallon a day. I couldn't get enough. It was also the worst my skin ever looked. One day while reading a magazine I came upon an article that talked about the link between dairy and acne. I decided to stop drinkin milk and see how it affected my skin. My acne went from moderate/severe to mild in about 2 weeks and since then I have never had another glass of milk. I do put milk in my cereal, but I don't drink the milk after I'm done eating my cereal. I don't each too much dairy in any other form either. I have noticed in the past when I eat a lot of icecream I get breakouts. I think cutting out milk alone though and seeing how your skin reacts would be a good idea. If you don't see any change, then perhaps your acne just isn't affected by it. Not everyones is.

My basis for asking about this is that I recently had a surgery in which I couldn't eat or drink any dairy products for several days. I couldn't apply my normal topicals but still my skin wasn't breaking out. So I wonder if that had any influence.

I am perfectly willing to cut out all dairy products if I get results.

Thanks for your help.
