I;ve read several journals here and everyone there had dry and flaky skin by day 9... of not flaky than just dryer than normal!I'm on 80 mg! So, when have you guys started get dry? What if it won't dry me up?

karen2906 2 Share Posted April 3, 2005 i think side effects and how quickly and how hard they hit depends on the dosage. my derm put me on 40mg for the first month (which is roughly .7mg/kg) to see how I would react to Accutane. Since I've been doing well, he increased my dose for the rest of my treatment to 60mg. Accutane dosage ranges from .5mg to 2mg per kg, so I started relatively mildly. The only consistent and slightly bothersome effect I've had is dry lips. Everything else (dry skin on body and nose bleeds) came and went after the 3rd week.

Erised 0 Author Share Posted April 4, 2005 heh.. thanks all!Sounds like I'm not alone. I can't wash my hair in the evening now because the roots become greasy by morning! So I guess I'm one of those people that get oily before they get dry.Anyone know what I can put on this cyst to make it smaller by the morning? Can I BP spot treat it? It's just a spot, it won't damage anything, right?
