Hey guys!

Righ now im at a point when i get no more lesions but now have to go through the even more tedious stage, teh healing stage.

I have a tonne of red dots where my acne used to be. An di mean tonnes.

Not like those people who say that have bad acne but meanwhile have completely normal acne (how i loath them!)

I just wanted to knwo that if i were to use a 2% salycic acid cleanser with my other medications (minocin and retin-a micro at night) 2-3 times a day, would that speed up the healing process?

My reasoning is that i hear peopel get 18% salycic acid peels and it sometimes helps... If i were to use a 2% salycic acid cleanser, over time, would it help my red spots? (and also maybe prevent more acne)

no I dont think you would heres why;

Retin-A-Micro is a major exfolient and any skin leftover from acne would be taken of by this retinoid, there is no need to use another less powerful skin peeling agent, it would do nothing but irritate your skin more, stick to a gentle cleanser

I have recently started a new acne treatment program and in the kit there is a mask that contains salicylic acid. I have been applying it 2 or 3 times a week and it seems to make my skin look and feel better and I have noticed that some of my scars are fading. Now I've also heard that benzoyl peroxide can have a bleaching effect so this may actually be improving the scars as well.
