I just learned a trick for dealing with cystic acne. Don't know if it'll help

you.

Buy some "Vick's VapoRub". Apply it to the cyst. It seems to reduce

inflammation and actually raises the cyst to the surface. It's not immediate,

but it's better, I think, than lancing it. Give it a try. Maybe I'm imagining

it.

If you've already opened the cyst, you might want to try two things. First

of all, never lance a cyst without sterilizing the area and the tool first. Use

rubbing alcohol. Immediately after lancing the cyst, you should apply

ice for at least 10 minutes to reduce inflammation and redness. Then apply

neosporin ointment and a bandage. These tricks help you to reduce

scarring and speeds up healing.

vicks is menthol, eucalyptus, camphor then some other fillers. i know eucalyptus and camphor have astringent and purifying qualities so i'd see how that could work. but without all the petroleum gook you could just get sea breeze for oily skin. only the oily skin formula has these ingredients but it's in an alcohol base. i think it's fine for me cause i'm really oily and it keeps things in check.

The idea is to use it only on-the-spot, not smear it all over your face.

I agree, vaseline is bad to put on your face. I'm going to try making my

own blend of pure eucalyptus oil, camphor oil, tea tree oil and aloe vera

gel. I think that might help. I'll post my results when I get them.
