I tried smooth beam laser treatments. It worked to a point, at least I'm not getting huge cysts, but I still get annoying pimple out breaks on my cheeks and some cysts on my chin. My skin is super sonic oily, so I was hoping smooth beam would mimimize the oilyness, but it didn't even phase it. I had levulonic acid and photodynamic facial treatments, all that did is make me red and peely for 2 days. Now my derm prescribed sprionolactone. I'm 43 and my acne was gone up until I had my hysterectomy 2 years ago, now it's back. I think it's all hormonal, and it's mainly on my cheeks, chin and jawline. She thinks the spironolactone is going to fix me up. Is there anyone out there using it with good results? How did it affect your oilyness, and how long did it take before the oilyness diminished? I believe my oil and my acne are directly related, if I can get rid of the oil I think I can get cleared up.
