will205 0 Share Posted April 15, 2003 I'm glad you are getting some results. I said this before:They must be the joke of the medical community. They go through years and years of medical school and then end up scanning lasers over somebody's face. How hard could that be.I retract this statement. Apparently it takes years and years of further study to become a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Many don't become specialists until their late 30s or early 40s. I'm sure Dr Rapport keeps himself busy with all the other aspects involved in his job.
bornunderabadsign 0 Share Posted April 16, 2003 Yeah Mel there is no doubt about it. Sorry to hear about the scars you suffer from and your hair loss. I wish there was a wig for my face loss. Yeah these Dr's got the high life alright. They couldn't walk a mile in my shoes. or any of our shoes for that matter. It makes me want to snap on these dr's. But they got me by the balls. Because of how bad I need there help. And dont think they dont know that fact. I had planned to mention some other things to my Dr. but he had a beautiful woman secritary strutting her stuff around and it distracted me from mentioning a few important things I needed to say. Damn secritary scam, have her strut around knowing damn well a guy like me aint been with a woman in to damn long. When I go again I'm going to tell her to get lost so I can talk to the Dr alone. And scarredforlife I am glad to hear its improving. Hope it keeps getting better for you everyday til you are satisfied.

scarred4life? 0 Author Share Posted April 28, 2003 unfortunately i have been quiet because of lack of internet access, not because of my scar revision. the results i have seen thus far (4 weeks) are minimal, 20% improvement at the most. I do not have access to a digital camera either right now or I would post some after pics. I am feeling rather depressed about the scars as this was my big hope for improvement. enigma 0 Share Posted April 28, 2003 dear Scarred for Life, i am pretty sorry to hear ur grievances ,i imagine u must be feelin damn down, perhaps u need more subcision procedures? i think they are one a one time off treatment where u see improvement overnight, from many previous posts , i understand that 1-3 subcision treatments are needed, and so it TCA spot treatment 1-3 sessions, did the doc arange another appt with ya? really only 20% improvement, any way for us to see ur pictures? Wayne comforrtin our brothers and sisters with the OBnoxious ACNE!
LAET 1 Share Posted April 28, 2003 I'm not a doctor, but I think you still need to give it more time. Tamara for instance had her subcision done before you, her collagen continues to rebuild. It takes several weeks, months to build back up. Don't get discouraged bud. Keep taking all the supplements. I know it helps to take those. I don't know which ones exactly, 'cause I take so many but it really seems to help. Chin up!!
bornunderabadsign 0 Share Posted May 6, 2003 scarredforlife I feel your pain brother I feel your pain. Your posts mean alot to me because I will one day be getting the very same thing done by the same guy. When you post like this saying your depressed and the results let you down so far, it takes hope away from me. I know what you where hoping for and expecting. Deep down inside there aint a person who goes for treatment who is not expecting and hoping for the same thing. For the nightmare to finally be over. Scarredforlife I have posted this to you before and I will post it to you again. As let down as you feel, If I was you I would look at the improvement not the non improvement. Dont look at this like it was your last hope or the end. Look at it like its the beggining. I know when I go for the first time, I will allready start saving for the second visit and third because thats how its got to be. Think about it, how hard have us people suffered? real hard. In life when you suffer and struggle this hard it means its one of those things that is hard in everyway up til the very end. No instant cure, no over night miracles fixing something that causes suffering this long this hard. The same way you have to suffer day in and day out the long hard way, is the same way it is to cure it. The long hard way. You want advice I'll give it to. Start saving my friend cause thats how its going to be.
Kansas City 0 Share Posted May 6, 2003 S4L, I have an appointment 5/16/03 with Dr. R. for TCA treatment. It will cost me about $1,000 to get there and stay two nights. If you were me, would you cancel?
all-in-time 0 Share Posted May 7, 2003 Kansas, I have just met with Dr. Rapaport recently, and have an appointment with him very soon. Don't cancel now. Be courageous and know that any improvement will make the trip all worth it.

bornunderabadsign 0 Share Posted May 9, 2003 Kansas city. I noticed you got an appointment with dr. rap coming up soon. First off I want to say I wish you the best of luck. Second please let me know how it turns out. I had my first visit and soon as I save up the money It will be my turn to go for tca, nlite, and subcision. $1600 or $1650 is what it will cost me and is why saving up is going to take a good while. After summer I should have enough. So another long hot summer with no improvement. Hopefully winter wont be so cold though. Anyways let me know how it goes and I hope it goes perfect for you.
