Probably not..

antibiotics help fight infections (like zits) caused by bacteria, but usually don't decrease oil production though.

I had great luck with Minocylcin clearing up my acne until I built up a resistance but it won't get rid of oil. Retinoids get rid of oil (i.e., Retin-A, Accutane) but, as stated above, antibiotics kill bacteria.

Yeah, antibiotics wont do anything for oil... They are really effective though if you find one that works for you- until the bacteria become resistant.

That's what happened to me, and all hell broke loose on my face. Now 1.5months into accutane im startin to see good results.
