Neosporin (and generics)

Recommended Posts

I'm not the first to post this topic, but I haven't seen it in a while.

At night before bed, I dab generic over-the-counter antibiotic ointment (similar to NEOSPORIN) on pimples or anything that resembles the start of a pimple. 95% of the time, the pimple doesn't get any bigger and soon goes away.

For me, this works so much better than BP or any of those prescription gels, creams, etc. I've been prescribed over the years. The best part is that it doesn't dry out your skin.

If you've tried other stuff that doesn't work, give this a try. It's cheap and you can tell pretty quickly if it's going to work for you or not. If it doesn't work, you can use it on cuts and scrapes.

Here are the ingredients of the one I have:

(It's Eckerd brand Triple Antibiotic -- 1/2 oz.)

Neomycin Sulfate

Polymyxin-B Sulfate
