How to reduce inflammation

Recommended Posts

It is a proven fact that inflammation plays a major role in the severity of acne vulgaris. What are some proven methods to reduce inflammation? From what I've read in some boards seems like hydrocortisone cream, ibuprofen (advil, motrin), ice, etc are some good ways to minimize inflammation for those pimples that have already formed. Has anyone experimented with these or other ways to reduce inflammation?

I tried taking advil once to reduce inflammation, and I'm not sure if it was that or the ice I was using, but it seemed to go away after 2 days.
