This has been happening recently.. so I don't know if it's just winter related or what I should do.

The area around my mouth (sides) is "shedding" dead skin. This only seems to happen when I get out of the shower. When I get out, I only pat my face gently and then don't touch it again. Soon after my face starts to peel in this area without me even touching it. Do I need to start moisturizing? Or what could possibly be going on?

If your skin is flaky definitely use some moisturizer. But, don't use harsh exfoliaters or washcloths to try and get it off, just sort of "scrub" it off with your palms when you are washing your face (like really give it a good massaging) and then immediately use moisturizer. It just sounds like a case of winter dry skin so don't worry about it. I use Neutrogena SPF 15 oil-free moisturizer (without anything like alpha hydroxy stuff in it) and it seems to work pretty well.

Gonna experiment.....

Going to change my routine and only use wash and cream every other day and see what happens. I honestly believe my skin is just changing, so I need to lay off. I have been using this stuff on my face for years now.
