Hello greetings can you please help me to asses what types of acne scars I have and what treatments I can do to improve it. I have oily acne prone skin. I used to have major breakout when I was 15 due to taking whey protein, and now I got left with acne scars all over my cheeks ruined my self confidence. Now I™m 23 and I have done 3x fractional Co2 laser and 2x subcision in the past at different time. Pictures of my acne scars are from different angle of sunlight and direct room lighting. Please help any advice and information is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Rolling scars and fat loss are your major problem at this moment

Subcision and fillers are your main goal here

The hardest part here isfiding a good professional.

Beware and avoid anyone pushing lasers for you now.
Good luck

Okay thank you foryour feedback. How many treatments of subcision and fillers do you think I need? And is there any long term side effects of doing fillers?

It's up to you and how much money you want to spend. You have to do them at least once to see what you think of the treatment. If the doctor tells you that there's not much left to subcise, then maybe you should not do any more treatments.

Fillers are pretty safe if you go to a reputable practice. Of course, you can have issues with bruising and lumps but most fillers can be dissolved if needed. Most fillers are not permanent.

Bellafill is semi-permanent and it is gaining popularity for scar treatment. This is because patients don't want to keep spending money on fillers. However, the permanent substance is like plexiglass. Many studies have been done to deem Bellafill safe, but there are some doctors who are unsure of this. There are some that think fillers migrate as well. Some doctors and patients recommend that you do temporary fillers first to see if you like the results before doing Bellafill.

Alright, thanks Amanda. Will consider any advice I can get. Fillers and subcision will probably works best for me then.

Subcision with filler and tca cross for the few small boxcar scars. Agree the most challegning part is finding a good doctor who will help you and not cause you more scars.
