Can I TCA Cross a shallow scar?

Recommended Posts

I recently crossed a scar on my nose bridge with repeated applications of 30% TCA using a toothpick.
The scar is much shallower and wider now that it’s been 6 weeks but there’s still a very minor dip in the skin.

Can I cross the remaining shallow scar using 100% TCA since it is more effective or would that be too much for a shallow scar?

Are there any complications that can happen if I 100% cross a shallow scar?

Or should I continue to use 30% cross layered on to increase the effectiveness.

I would try 50% first, then 70%. Do it incrementally. At some point, you'll find your sweet spot. But don't double down.

Complications from 100% TCA include hyperpigmentation, scar widening and possibly hypertrophic scarring.
