Question About Ceramides In Regards to BP Absorption

So I've been using the acne.org regimen for roughly 3 weeks now and recently, I started using the CeraVE Hydrating Facial Cleanser in replacement of the Acne.org version. For some reason, even starting extremely slow on the BP, my face started to peel ALOT during the 2nd week of treatment, and has continued to the point where I had to cut way back on the BP. After swapping to the CeraVe Cleanser (keeping everything else the same), the peeling has gone away completely and I've been able to go back to a higher dose of BP without a problem. However, my only concern is i'm not sure if the ceramides/hyaluronic acid are preventing absorption of the BP into my skin. I am aware that ceramides are meant to keep moisture in, but i'm not sure if they also are designed to keep things out. If anyone has insight into this it would be greatly appreciated!
