Will she accept me? will she date me?

Recommended Posts

Guest Zitro

these feelings have always resided with me since I began to be interested in dating girls a couple of years ago (before I never was really interested in having a GF, so I didn't try).

Before, I was very shy and did not bother to look for a GF since I have friends (I was like that)

In early 2004, I developed a fear of rejection after I have been rejected by a woman I was in love with. Because my acne has been the worst in that moment, my self-esteem it the floor and had the "will she date me" kind of thoughts all the time.

Now that I'm clearing up and have few to almost no cysts at all, I am trying my best to get rid of that fear.

Now, I am in love with a classmate/friend like I've never been before. acne does not affect me when talking to her, I'm confident/cool/funny and I think she is beginning to like me and I'm starting my first steps to conquer her heart.

So, by reading this, you must think that I am going to get a GF soon and that I'm pretty happy but ... I still have those worries that originated from myself being rejected when my acne was a horrible mess, and it's affecting my confidence lately.

I cannot stop thinking about her ... I gotta be confident, look at my avatar and say "yes"

Do you have a story to share about this horrible fear that haunts us?

I'd say dont do anything, you have a good thing going with this chick, not worth losing, just be patient, but at the same time dont let another dude walk in and step on your turf, she'll notice if you protect your interests and may even decide she wants to make a move.

I would just recomend keeping it cool until its obvious to both of you that your already a couple, then all you have to ask her is if its ok that you call her your girlfreind, thats been my approach, only done it twice, but I've only been with 2 girls in the last 5 yrs ( since I was sixteen), and I'm still great freinds with the girl I broke up with 7 months ago

Be pateint

There are too many things that are boosting my confidence right now ...

Like my talking to her, my acne slowly disappearing, and some hot girls in my guitar class hitting on me. I'm actually a pretty looking man but my that beauty is eclipsed my acne.

I hope they will be enough to eradicate that damned fear that's haunting me.

Polkadots, I hope the day comes for you to get in the loose!

The worst part of acne is insecurity...

yeah drover ... there is a hot guy in the loose that hit on her a couple of times ... I'm glad she really rejected him and told him to leave her alone (she's one of those chicks who don't let themselves get kissed on or hugged (that includes me!))

By the way ... I indirectly gave her some signs in the last 2 weeks ... she seems to be much nicer to me lately ... good sign

Dude, it sounds cheesy, but go for being freinds first, it is so much more fun dating a freind than a girl you dont know much about.

Drover ... I was actually doing that since I know her for a while (over 3 months) ... Now I feel insecure about the fact that she might get hit on other guys, I'm making my moves wWhen the vacations end... I hope everything turns out alright.

Eventually ... the moment will come where its obvious that we like each other and I'll just ask (or her) in a suave way "I would very much like to kiss you right now, may I?"

Well , for now I think I will relax and enjot the break ... I'll email her/call her on x-mas and new year.

I love her so much, when I come back to school in jan. 4 of 2005, I decided what to do ...

I've made my choice. no insecurity, no worries, I'm going to be 100% Hernan and want more than just a friend out of that sweet angel ... She is the sun that shines my heart ... I'll be a sun and reflect it or emit my light myself ot her, that I'm not that sure.

By The way .... I already sent an nice email to her, she responded nicely.

Having confidence to talk about anything with someone and feel that there not just looking at your acne. But, I think you should go for it. If you say that acne doesn't affect you. Go on and talk to her.

jaja .. I had the suspense Joe, I scrolled down and well ... that's some way to impress jaja, but I'm not in that stage of relationship yet.

Well ... If I have all the confidence .. its almost like having no acne at all.

By the way .. I haven't mentioned that she went to me and said how fine I look now (she was in one of my classes in 2003-2004 (bad acne stage) but we barely talked)

Maybe I'm not that confident and experienced because ... well ... I've never had a girlfriend before (and I had a broken heart when I tried)... I'm not those kinds of dudes who are pressured by it. F**k peer pressure. I don't care (I'm 17 by the way). That's why I'm doing everything slowly/carefully, and taking as many precautions as possible to make sure I get'er.

Onlyjoe ... I know ... When my heart was broken in early 2004, I couldn't get my mind off of her and it did me no good to think of her...

Don't get back together with her if you believe that it is not going to work ... you are making the right choice to not get back together ... keep at it.

Its called maison ikkoku. I really love it.

A dropout student moves into a rundown managed apartment which has its fair share of interesting characters, and only stays because he loves the apartment manager (who is the lady in the avatar). Its really funny and romantic. It never fails to raise my spirits...
