I have been using BP for the last 15 years or so (now 35). I imagine like many people here I imagined acne would be something I would grow out of but alas here I am still suffering.
A long with diet changes (no dairy, eggs etc) BP is the only thing I have found to work but I would much rather not have to use it. I don't like how it can damage ones skin. It also annoys me how many clothes I have ruined with the staining.
Will I still need to use it in my 40s, 50s, 60s 70s, 80s!?
I would recommend tretinoin, it targets more concern than just acne, knowing you are already 35, tretinoin provides anti aging as well while still taking care of your acne, but unlike benzoyl peroxide it is not of-the-counter medicine you can always buy, you still have to talk to a dermatologist to get presciption.
