@daelz7Run from this derm. Terrible dermatologist. You are not supposed to do laser in July and then subcision now! We treat every 3 months. Collagen is slow to build by doing these things back to back you will get less results and effect healing. More money for the derm though right. Also it takes about 6 months total for laser to heal and do something, ... why are you treating weeks after. We do manual methods first, and you need several of them. You know it takes 3 months to show results for some patients with sub, ... and other's need more than one to see results. I don't know how aggressive they are or the needle used. Whoever this Dr is sounds terrible. If the subcision is not effective perhaps they don't know how to do it. Consult with someone else and ask them why it was not effective. Perhaps they were not aggressive or did not perform it correctly, skill is important, few have it - but they try. See a acne scar specialist not just a general derm. Wait 3 months and do another subcision with a different derm or plastic you choose and consult with.

my face was looking great after laser. I think he is excellent. but now I feel like we went 2 steps backwards , so i am in a bit of a mix atm ... I am afraid you may be right. and I will bring it up when i see himsoon. some of my big scars were looking 40-50 % percent better, now I am not so sure.
ABOUT THE PROCEDURE: he used cannula and did a fanning like motion, he injected some filler (not permanent) , it washyaluronic acid. first they did the big scars, then the rest of the face.scars were elevated and yesterday they looked the same before the procedure. I still have small swelling.I was bruised and some of the brusing is yellow./greenish as of now. will update in 7 days.
not to plays devils advocate but I have read many studies that mention that laser treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart to 3 months apart with every sessions did not show any difference in results. I could easily find the study for you. I feel that he is sincere and I certainly have not spend a massive amount of money. less than 1k at the moment.. He is a respected derm here , lots of accolades . These are very knowledge people , highly educated in their fields.
I will treat in December then. that gives my face a rest for 4-5 monthsI think I need about 3-4 subcisions, I will space them out 3-4 months apart. thank you for the advice.
@daelz7If he is highly respected he is highly respected. There are very few who would do ultra pulse like this. Perhaps Dr Lim. But he does take chances other's should not be taking. Bruising is part of any procedure, yellow is part of the bruising process. For some it lasts for 3 months, for other's it's a week post.
I don't care about studies which are theories"aka" a thesis. Put out by laser device companies to sell more laser's and make you treat more often. I am telling you after treating thousands. Too much laser, can lead to side effects. Healing is not done in 3-6 weeks apart. But you take that risk if you think it's best. IF the Dr is Dr Lim it's calculated and many would do it as he is a expert with these devices. IF it is not I would think how you heal ... what's best for your. Not a Dr trying to sell you quick $$$$ treatments.
You can always get a second opinion if needed.
Good give it a rest, observe and heal. This is best. 6-12 months post laser your healing.

The reason why your face looked good after laser is because of swelling that was masking scars.
Also you should hear crackling during subcision, listen for the crackling. And to be honest, If you have deep boxcar scars, subcisions almost does jack squat because of the heavily tethered walls. Subcision worked best on my rolling scars and popping out my indented cheek. You have to jack up the boxcar walls with Laser or RF and then pop them out with sub. Subcision also does not help icepicks, you have to CROSS.

i heard heavy crackling during my subcision. some were very stubborn. ive heard that scars re-depress 2 weeks after subcision so idk. ill wait till next friday or the friday after. and no the swelling was gone, this was almost 3 weeks after the laser session.

I had one quick question , he told me to avoid exercise for 3-4 days. should I just refrain from it for longer or what do you suggest ? . any help/suggestion would be appreciated.

you need to post before after pics to get better help. 3 weeks you might still have a little bit of swelling.
@daelz7The above is a troll, we seem to have many trolls now posting in acne scars as armchair dermatologists. Many have mental issues. Please report posts if any further comments like this.
I would not do heavy exercise for a few weeks, until your fully healed and the issue is resolved. Mild exercise is ok, ... excessive sweating or facial movement from exercise is not. Your face should be completely healed with just some redness to do normal activities.

my face is about 80 percent healed,i guess ill give it about 5 more days for mild exercise.

Yes I did BIGTIME , I have two big pits on one cheeck and on that side they look like pockmarks. he had a lotta trouble breaking the fibrosis on that side (stubborn) until he was able to break them.
UPDATE :
its been 2 months since my subcision and I have noticed about a 20% improvement thus far.. very very minimal changes.
anyhow the reason I updated this early is because I noticed a small lump next to one of my "Crater" like scars, its deff not a pimple or cysts , hematoma? any help with this would be great.
