Dr Emil blocked me on instagram

Recommended Posts

I was thinking about not making a post for this incident, but i think it can help some other people. After sending emails to dr Emil who stopped responding(although after my treatment informed me to get in touch with him and inform him about my results),i sent him a message on his instagram account asking about my case and what is his plan for our next treatment. It passed two days since then and i realised he blocked me(i can send you my message in private if you want). Also,he told me on an email reply to ask questions on BeautifulAmbition...wtf?!He seemed a nice guy and he showed me that he cares about patients(and he wants to know about positive or negative reviews),but this thing is really bad cause we pay for our treatments,we dont take them for free.I know that he has an account here(although it is forbidden from rules) and other accounts who support him here and on realself and i hope to send me a private message to talk.As i said,i didnt want to post this thing, but i think that we alla members here should know all the positive and negative details of each doctor.Thanks.

Edit: I dont know who @beautifulambition is but the only thing i know,is that this account supports us and replies on every crazy message we send...And we dont pay him/her...

I‘m sorry about your experience.

What did you get done with him? And were you contacting him because you had problems after a treatment or just to update him?

Just curious because I want to go to him after accutane.

Thank you for posting because any type of information is so important. Hope everything gets straightened out for you.

I had a treatment with him before 2 months.I wanted to update him and inform him about some problems after procedure and asked how can we go on our next treatment. And got blocked.I will wait 1-2 months more to make a review about him and be fair, but that action from him is unacceptable..

@tasinhoooo

As a disclaimer I have no direct affiliation with any Dr mentioned on the forum. They are recommended (favorably by members) and provide the services needed for acne scar treatment. We sometimes get situations that the patient is not satisfied (you can't please everyone), but all Dr's has this really. Sometimes it's just not a good fit. Sometimes Dr's are just not a good fit for the patient - Dr relationship, ... this is why I suggest you always consult a few Dr's and plastic surgeon's to pick the best one for your situation and goals.

Firstly this is strange that now I am in the middle of this situation. I specifically had no part of your care other than supporting you on the forums with a plan. Emil does view the forums here as other patients have told me he is knowledgeable of talk regarding his name. He probably see's that I publicly have given you advice about your care. Regarding social media I cannot say if there is a difference in the way your cultures (countries) handle a situation, but perhaps he felt something was rude discussed publicly to his social media (ask him why).

I can give you generalized advice as I have always done. You have sent me over 200+ PM's for your very complicated situation. I don't think most people would understand your full story through this quick and public posting of displeasure. Now that you have made this public I have to disclose you have seen several Dermatologists and had issues with treatment. I will review our messages to see if I see anything else and refresh my memory, I get so many PM's a day of people needing help. If you wish to discuss it further by PM that is fine as I noticed I have a message from you to respond to as well.

I do see you shared with Dr Chu and Emil your displeasure of some of your prior medical treatments and outcomes. I "believe" Dr Chu is Dr Emil's mentor from med school (was mentioned by someone else), so perhaps they talked.

Having other health complications that have made treatment hard to complete. Guessing here... Perhaps they were not comfortable treating you anymore as they felt they could not meet your expectations or something was against their ethics as a Dr. I cannot say you would have to discuss that with them, this is just "some"  of what you told me.

If you feel he has broken health law, please file a report with the medical authority in Denmark or ask for a refund from treatment.

I do know you do not need to loose hope as you have other options of practitioner's in Greece who are in the FAQ and we discussed before by PM.

I will post this video by Dr Lim explaining why a Dr will refuse to treat patients ("in general") as maybe that can help.

@beautifulambition You havent understood me.I said that you are supporting us and reply on all out messages without being our doctor.i am not talking about results,i am talking about behaviour.I got a treatment with him and he told me to send you a message,is it right?I mean he examined my skin,he did the procedures and is it right to ask you about my skin? This is weird.I can send you the message i sent him and let me know if i was rude against him.I just asked something about treatment plan.

Edit: And its really bad when a practitioner makes a mistake(not talking about Emil),we talk about poor healing and other health issues.

@tasinhoooo I feel this is getting messy as communication through text can loose it's meaning or be misunderstood.

"I said that you are supporting us and reply on all out messages without being our doctor." - would you rather me not respond to your posts or pm's, not understanding what you mean? "Trying" to help you. I am not paid (volunteer) to do this unlike these Drs.

I can acknowledge what you say and affirm that you feel badly because of it. I can support you somewhat but not in the way you may need.

This is why you can place a complaint to the medical authority. I do not know all sides of the story here.

See these are the things I mean we are posting publicly on a forum anyone can read which may not be appropriate for everyone to see, ... they may not understand the complexity of your situation.

Possibly Emil also misunderstood your communication - I am trying to be cognizant of cultural and communication differences.

Again - Emil views the forums (anyone can), he see's I respond to you and those who need help. I do not know why other than you told me he just cut you off. That must feel terrible, but as I said above there are other options for help in Greece.

tasinhoooo yes this was handled poorly, telling you to have me deal with the issue (strange). But he also knows I publicly help you. I have no part of your private treatment. You "ask" me the things you need help with. If you don't wish to share that is fine. I have helped thousands!

I will now respond to your private messages. I do not think it's productive to be circular in our thinking here. Next plan of action is to get you help, and you can file a medical report against him if needed (this is your right),  ask for a refund, or just find another Dr.

All practitioners make mistakes, all patients heal differently and need different temperaments and treatments. There is no perfect solution. Look what I posted above about Dr Lim's video, he will not deal with anyone who does not have the same treatment goals (very particular who he treats).

I also feel it would be best for you to see a therapist or get one of the new apps like talkspace to get therapy, ... there must be something in Greece. You have internal scars that need to be addressed as well and this isn't helping you to work on them. This is the hardest part of scar treatment, the mental stress.

@beautifulambition i am not traslating anything, you just misunderstood me.I sent you on pm what i meant.I dont want any money or making a report,i just posted what happened and i felt really weird about that, cause Emil seemed a nice and caring doctor since our treatment. He wants to be in touch with his patients,as he said, but i havent seen that on my case.Nevermind,i think we are missing the point here.

What treatment did this doctor perform? What was the designated instructions for follow up care? What issues did you specifically wanted to ask this doctor?

There are two sides to each story and we are only hearing one? Remember, some scar patients don't heal very well and will most likely get poor results no matter what doctor or scar treatments are performed. A doctor can't control ones ability to heal. It sounds like you have had multiple scar treatments with other doctors? Is this true?

Best you can do is file a medical complaint in Denmark and see what happens. You might get a refund.

Guys i dont want to make a complaint or ask for refund.I just felt strange, why a doctor acts like that without being offended.Anything else(more personal details) can be answered via pm and not here.As you saw,i havent criticised his abilities or studies,i just wrote for this incident.Thats all.If we have to post only positive things for some doctors here, please ask me to delete this post.Thanks.

Dear Tasinhooo

Unfortunately, we have not allocated staff to reply to messages on social medias. For the same reason, we have recently disabled the message function at Emil Henningsen's IG. We did not intend to block you personally.  We always inform patients to contact us directly through the clinic´s official e-mail: [e-mail address removed] - as you did earlier, many times. I am quite certain that nobody at the clinic asked you to contact us through other social media platforms. Sorry if we did, because that would not make any sense.

I just searched through our main mail inbox and noticed that your latest e-mail was replied by Dr. Emil Henningsen on 11 March 2019 (same day as the mail was recieved). If we have missed any  e-mails, I truly apologize!

You are welcome to e-mail us anytime.

Kind regards,

Thilde

Secretary Manager

So this poster didn't thought to use the telephone and make contact that way? I'm speechless! Doctors are very busy with emails, a phone call to the medical receptionist would have been more successful. I'm sure they would organise a follow up appointment. And it's not traditional for doctors to make appointments or contact patients through social media. Social media is used instead to promote the doctor, their medical practice, their treatments, etc.

There are two sides to each story. Time to lock this thread.

Are you going to contact the doctor through his official email/telephone and book an appointment? Seems fair and reasonable, if you prefer to see him again. Of course, as a consumer, you're most welcome to seek a new scar specialist. Sometimes a particular doctor might not be the best fit for a certain patient, due to their scar treatment preference, background, different expectation and goals. All the best.

I cant understand why you deleted my message and keep asking if i will contact Emil with another way?Are you getting paid for promoting doctors? Are you trying to make us look stupid and idiots? If yes, delete this message too and after that, lock this thread.

@tasinhoooo

No one deleted your msg, I have reports other's have lost posts / msg's yesterday. Use the report feature or post in announcements section of the site.

ScarRight simply gave a opinion, please ignore it if you wish, for some aside context many Dr's do not reply or even respond to emails (ie. Lim). I say to be on the safe (good faith) call the office or contact the above office manager as they instructed. I can only imagine how many messages a day they get if I get so many. I know the majority of Dr's won't even contact you back if you don't make a appointment as they don't get paid for the time that takes. This is why public posts /private pm's become confusing. I don't think there is any more reason to go back and fourth here, it's not health to do circular arguments (I and others have helped you with some options ;-).

Yes but as i told on my "missed" message which was online for 2-3 hours, maybe ScarRight found a way to send pictures via phone call.We travel far away to reach doctors and as you mentioned me,Emil cant handle serious cases, like panniculitis. So,shouldnt i send him a message first,if i had to remove filler on a local doctor? Was it clever to travel to Denmark and have this filler resolved?I cant teleportate myself yet...Nevermind.
