Hello!

I am new in this forum. To be honest, this is my first ever forum I ever joined. Acne.org had helped so much and I will be always thankful to this page. 5 days ago I decided to go on accutane.

I will tell you about me: I am 23 years old. I have had acne since I was 15 to 16 years old. I never had severe acne but I had consistent moderate acne which it is really stressful. I weight around 78 - 80kg and my height is about 1.78cm (5. 8 feet aprox). I want to apologize if I make any grammatical mistake, it is not my native language.

This week (03/25/2019) I am starting accutane on 20mg per day for one month. According to my doctor, it will be 6 months or maybe 4 months. However, i do prefer 6 months so I can get my cumulative dose and never ever have acne again. I will do my best to keep up with this post. I will try my best to post two times per week or at least once per week.

Wish me luck! I do want to finish this acne once for all :). Staying positive through this journey.

Day 7:

Hello guys, it has been a week since I took my first accutane. It has been good. I don't have any side effects. Well, maybe a bit of dry lips but I dont reallyfeel them dry.

No updates. No initial breakout. It is like I am not on accutane honestly. I think it is because my dose (20mg)is low compare to my body weight (79 kg). I will keep posting anyways either once a week or twice a week if I have any updates 🙂

See you 🙂

Day 14:

Hi guys. It has been two weeks. A major update is that I am clean right now! :) People are telling me my face looks better overall.  Less acne, no red face, no oily face!  I am happy with the current results.

Side effects: My lips are getting drier but nothing out of this world. I use my chapstick and then the "pain" is over. I am using two types of chapsticks: Acniben and a regular chapstick. Acniben is a stronger so I use this when I noticing if my lips are really dry. The regular chapstick statys with me all the time.

Side effects: My face is getting drier too. I am using CeraVe which i think it is a very good product! I do recommended as well as acniben.

If you have any questions, let me know ! Have a great week guys

Hello! I am 24 years old and i have a problem very similar as yours, but in my back and a little in my ass. Luckily my face is perfect but if my intention is forget forever acne my doc said that i have to do it this threatment.

Did you have any initial breakout? This is my main fear. Perhaps it just happens when you have severe acne, what its not my case (and yours).

Good luck and keep us updated!

Hey @Arcano XIII

sorry for the delayed. I have been busy lately. Just to let you know that I dont have any acne in the back or ass but only in my face. And to answer your question, I did not have any initial breakout! For the first two months I have some pimples (just like before Accutane)coming out but they dried really fast!! It was amazing how fast they went away

i believe so too! Because we dont have severe acne we dont have any IB. Right now Im 2.5 months into Accutane

ill post pictures soon so you can be the judge but I highly recommend it

side effects: dry lips, dry face and dry hands. However it just go away when I use chapstick and moisturizer! Nothing major honestly!

please let me know if you have questions!!

@jPablothanks buddy I hope it works!!
