Is it ok to use Strong AHA or BHA peels on Acne?

Recommended Posts

Im really considering using one of the Glycolic 40% or Salyclic 80% on my this stubborn breakout which is turning into a monster..Its disgusting and it has only hit on part of my skin, my right temple.. Do you think it is safe?

Have you ever used a Glycolic cleanser or lotion before.

If not, I would start out with 20 percent.

What product makes a 80 percent Salyclic acid?

Yeah, that percentage of salicylic acid sounds very strong, Steve. I'd be careful.

I've found that using salicylic on breakouts helps them to an extent, although sometimes it brings other acne to the surface before it improves. I've found that using lactic on breakouts makes them worse, though, as it causes them to become more inflamed, at least in my case, anyway.
