Is there a way to help prevent an indentation from acne cyst?

I have had pimple on my cheek for a few weeks. It's starting to go away. Is there any steps I can take to help prevent an indentation from staying after the acne goes away? It's red and I know that will go away.

Scarring is mostly genetic. Evidence suggests that even picking at pimples won't cause scarring. If you haven't scarred before odds are you won't start now. Just try to keep it moisturized and clean. There isn't much else you can do.
