Picking - oops.

There has always been this big deal "don't pick, don't pick", but what's the reason for not picking? Is it to avoid scarring, or to avoid red marks? Or both?

I picked a couple of spots no doubt when my skin was at its worst, but people keep assuring me my red marks will fade. Will ALL red marks fade or will the ones left as a result of a spot i picked at not fade? Will they meerly take longer to fade?

I would assume there must be a difference between the red marks left from spots that are picked, and those which weren't.

Can anyone kill my curiosity?

Do I ask too many questions?

sorry i dont know the answers to all of them but picking is bad for your skin because it can make ski worse by causing infection, scarring and redmarks, although derms say this does not apply to blackheads.

Red marks are usually not affected by pciking or popping zits. Scars however, can occur if you pop a nod or cyst. NOT GOOD.
