Can anyone or any expert in this matter from this forums help me:

1. Rate my acne scars on my face from 1 to 10 with 10 being the worst and 1 being the not even noticeable.

2. What type of acne scars do I have?

3. What treatments should I get to improve my condition?

4. Will juvyderm work for me? As in one treatment of juvyderm will make my acne scars less visible?

thanks alot guys.

first pic is my left side of my face.
second pic is my right side of my face.

Hi,
I think that you have mostly boxscars.
Not sure what really improves them, Maybe tca cross??
Ona scale i would say 3 or 4 honestly. If I saw you in person, I would notice them, however I would think to myself that it didnt look bad at all honestly. Rating them is hard because you have no idea what I would consider severe so to give you my perspective I would consider someone like Laurence Fishburne or that actor on Sons of anarchy (forgot his name) to have severe scarring. Good luck on your journey!!

You should post on realself as well, it's free advice from doctors.

I would say your scars are a 3-4. The redness makes them very noticeable but you can do V-Beam and it would look much better or wait for it to fade. My scarring is somewhat similar and I had good results with injectable fillers (juvederm as you said) but it's important to find a good doc. But you're scars are not severe in by any stretch of the imagination. They are very textural and once the redness fades it will be hardly noticeable.

Your scars are very minor, there is no 1-10 rating in scar work... @TheMadTitanNamedThanos

You do not need filler.

You mainly have box cars, and some icepicks. I cannot tell from the pics the depth of the scars, ... scars make shadows. They look very superficial. Monomorphic (same plane). You can try a few at home tca peels to the cheeks. I would definitely get picosure done for the hyperpigmentation or vascular laser. You may need some tca cross (this may be enough) and or paint on spot peels to the individual pits of the box cars. You can finish with erbium resurfacing or a peel(s) by a Derm. If you wish to do only at home treatment first try the derminator or dermastamping as well alternate every month. You have ethnic skin so please use retin-a/tretnorin/differin nightly with a konjac and albutin cream to avoid hyperpigmentation and cause cell turnover. Stop during treatments. All this is optional. Treat when you have time and money.

We've seen FAR worse on here. Cases that are essentially too far gone. This is minor in comparison. Check out Dr. Lim's instagram for examples of truly severe, devastating scarring.

If your scar is considered severe, my scar will be considered as disaster / monster.

@TheMadTitanNamedThanosI would say your scars are a 4 to me. We
are our own critics. My scarring is quite similar to yours, but I'm still figuring out ways to reduce hyper-pigmentation. I hope everything goes well for you.

Scarring can be measured objectively (scientific methods), but I will add that if scars are objective grade 4 B- severe in the literature, than the measure of severity can also be quantified subjectively. Agree with BA that there are much harder scars to treat, but you ... and only you can subjectively convey the IMPACT of these scars on your life. 2 Points. 1. You are far from home. You have active acne- place this in remission. 2. Your scars are relatively easy to treat ... as BA pointed out. See the correct specialist without going overboard, and your journey will be easy. 95% improvement is possible. That is the light at the end of tunnel. First step- stop the outbreaks. Do it ASAP. Please.
