I am 24 years old female, have hormonal acne since I was 15.
I am on Doxycycline and Adapelene for a month. I had minor initial breakout like 2-3 cysts/whiteheads/pimple more than normal on my problem areas. I have moderate acne (tends to severe). I am about to start Accutane 10mg next month. Will my initial breakout be similar like I had on antibiotic or horrible one? Does Accutane purge on problem areas only?
Well for me it is quite horrible atm 
but I guess it™s different for everyone? Im currently in an IB and other than 3 huge whiteheads on my face, my skin become pretty bumpy as well. I guess its because accutane also does something with your comedones so you might have spots even at non problem areas initially. Thats my experience currently...Im on the same low dose of 10mg atm and im about 2 weeks ish in.
Some people are lucky where they dont experience an IB or just have a minor one.

Yes I have clogged pores/tiny little bumpson my cheeks for months other than my usual jawline and chin acne (this is where I get acne mostly). I think those clogged pores will turn into pimple/acne/whiteheads when I will be on Accutane. More hyperpigmentation :(.
