Should I do fillers before or after INFINI?

(Scars looking totally horrible in the worst possible lightning again two weeks after subscision)IMG_20180831_002122.thumb.jpg.3a484fb13f27dba98ef347b8dbe86dcd.jpg

I live in Denmark, subscision was done by Emil Henningsen, was pretty expensive and didnt seem to bring basically any good improvement after the first treatment, however he mentioned it will be this way, and i will need fillers to see some progress,

the question is would it make sense to go with the fillers in 2-3 weeks, or should it be Infini RF before, or should I wait even more

How much did you pay for the subcision? And is he using infini rf at the moment?

For what it's worth, i really don't think your scars look horrible. You are your own worst critic.

@Noa27 i dont want to be bad,but you are always asking people how much subcision costs and when they inform you about that,you always reply that you are going to visit dr Emil( i read posts on this forum for a year).You have to make the big step and take the decision to visit a scar specialist.

No, you are right :)

I already made an appointment with Emil, that would be in October.

The truth is, I wanted to do this for a long time, but I listened too much at my boyfriend (who is against this) and my family which doesn't think it is not that bad to travel to Denmark.

So yeah, like a month ago I figured that this is my life. The last four years I've raised my daughter which means not much time for doing my own stuff. Now she is in school and yeah... now it is my time :) And if someone don't like that... so be it.

@noa27 it was 5k DKK but as a said it doesn't make any sense to stop here as there is not much improvement yet

@rakimaki99You should wait for a couple of weeks.I think you should get sculptra before proceeding on rf microneedling for best results,else you can wait until swelling goes down and get some HA filler. @beautifulambition will give you the best directions here.

@tasinhoooois there a specific reason for choosing scupltra, or can I go with whatever dr Emil has

Isnt it damaging for the fillers to do Infini after you have them?

If you proceed with infini you should do sculptra first,cause rf stimulates collagen production in addition with sculptra.If you wont proceed on infini you should do HA filler.You can try inifini alone but with sculptra you will get more improvement.

@rakimaki99No it does not damage the filler, it acts as a spacer post subcision. We are not using this for Volume at this stage.

Rf needling/ co2 stimulates sculptra, that is why @tasinhoooosaid that. This is used for textural scars. Ha filler is used for pits and individual fat deficiency but it not good for "widespread" textural scars.

The reason we wait after swelling is because if they fill under swelling (With the exception of scultra as that does not spot fill), ... they can make bumps and miss spots (Swelling).

You would so well with Sculptra throughout the whole cheek because you have widespread scars over your cheeks.

They sterilize filler by heating it, ... so no it does not make it go away. What makes it go away is going to the gym, making facial movements, or your bodies ability to absorb filler.

HA can be used in the future to spot fill but for rf needling and your case ^ follow the above. If you don't wish to do a vial of Sculptra, then do ha filler instead.

We fill for volume later on in treatment before resurfacing, your mid cheeks would get some HA for volume.

thanks for the constructive feedback

@beautifulambitionso if I go with sculptra, i would need to have it refilled every 2nd year or sth like that? Or is it something that will transform into collagen?

@cookingENGonly these I found

@rakimaki99No we are not filling for aesthetics. We are using these fillers as a spacer, to prevent tethering and have the body create it's own collagen. Further The rf needling or low density co2 stimulates collagen. you can even do a over diluted vial of sculptra. Make sure they subcise and inject throughout the whole area of scarring. It is not a spot filler and works best in the cheeks and temples. On your last subcison or further down the line "before" resurfacing for texture you can do ha filler injections for individual pits.

Sculptra is not a volumizer ... it stimulates collagen and acts as a spacer. HA can also be used for this but is quite expensive to do on a wide area of scarring. HA filler as a volumizer is used on top for individual pits (this is optional , depending on depth of pits).

Some do it once during subicsion, and ... other's do it once a year or two with subcision. Again ^ .

Any expert injector can do a vial of Sculptra throughout the area of scarring after your subcision.

@beautifulambitionRegarding you last line,
so does that mean Sculptra is something I can buy and take it to Henningsen and he can perform the procedure even do he doesnt do it officially?

@rakimaki99Emil carries all his own fillers, ... patients don't need to buy anything. This is a medical injectable substance only Drs / nurses deal with. Just call and ask for a vial or 2 to be ready for injection as it must be prepared ahead of time. Emil is a Dr he can get any filler. If he is not comfortable, there are "tons" of expert injectors who can use a cannula and do it throughout your cheeks near to you. He does not need to do it if he is not comfortable. Make sure it's over diluted and a cannula is used, any Dr who uses it often or med spa would be ok.
