Hey, everybody. Im gonna keep this log short and sweet. I had cystic acne from puberty all the way to 23 when i finished accutane. Have'nt had a single cystic breakout ever since. So thank god for accutane! But now several years later i am still reminded of the acne every time i look at my big box/rolling scars on my face.

I did alot of research on how to fix the scars and i eventually found the right Dr for this mission.  I met and discussed possible treatment with Dr. Igor Safanov a couple of months ago here in Sweden and today finally i had it done. Subcision, microneedling and microdermabrasion all in one session. I expect maybe a 30-40% improvement at most.

I will post photos every 2 weeks until the swelling has subsided. Join my journey to a face free from scars!!

Hi mate, If you had it done today, could you update your first picture post treatment and the next one after a week? Wouldnt that make more sense?

Thanks anyways for sharing your progress!

1 WEEK POST TREATMENT!
So far i would say that this treatment has yielded great results with improvements ranging from 30-40% on the worse scars, 50-60% on moderate scars and even 100% on the small ones around and between the bigger scar areas. They have dissapeared all togheter.

The sharp edges have been filed down and now finally i can check myself in the mirror without being taken back by the rough look my scars used to give my face. I remember sometimes when i flipped through my phone and accidentaly opened snapchat, and suddenly the front face camera gets activated and you see on the screen what a mess your face was because of the scars. This has happened after treatment as well but now my cheeks look really smooth.

Igor Safanov did a real good job mixing these 3 treatments to create one strong force against my scars. Here is some before/after photos (the redness is from suctioning, but you can still see the difference). Check it out!

VITAMIN C

Ok since nobody gives a shit about this log im gonna turn it into a diariy.

Dear diariy, i have recently started applying Vitamin C on my face once a day for 30 min. I have heard alot of great things about it and i look forward to give my face a new glow while rebuilding collagen on the scars that are recovering from the treatment. I mix 1/4 tsp Ascorbic acid + 1 tsp destilled water + 1tsp Aloe Vera. I will increase the Vitamin C in a couple of days. Hope for the best!!

Im very interested in the outcome, since i have similar scars and i strongly consider paying Dr Safanov a visit.
Btw how much did the procedure cost you?

I'm following with great interest. I have had subcision/microneedling/TCA around a week ago also, I'm curious to know your after care routine.

@incepticon
Thanks for the answer mate. Yes you should definitely go and see him for a consultation. I paid 5000kr, thats roughly $550. I think it was worth it for sure!

@Kratosandboy
Hey i appreciate your comment and im happy you follow this thread. regarding the Vitamin C, i have it powder form (ascorbic acid). Have you tried any skin routines that has helped your complexion?

@SimonandScarfunkel
Hey bro, thx for checking in. Please link your thread if you have any. If you dont i think it would be great if you made one so we all can see the results and be motivated. About skin care routine, man honestly im am really shit with these kind of things. I just applied some medical grade perfume free moisturizer on my face when i still hade the sores post treatment. When the sores was gone i started using Vitamin C. What is your routine?

For the rest of you guys im really happy that you are following my progress. If there is anything you would like to know just ask me. It's great to have some interaction.

I know that i have been a reader of many of these logs were the OP just stops writing and stops updating. Its such a anti-climax. As a acne scar sufferer you just want to see the OP keep on going and deliver photos, experiences and success. And this is what im planning to do. I have booked a checkup with Dr Igor on the 8th Sept (one month post treatment). I will keep posting photos every week until then. And depending on what he says i will book a second treatment 3 months post the first one. ONCE AGAIN THANKS LADIES AND GERMS!!

Hello! I was asking about reviews from Dr Igor about a year ago but never found any so very interesting to hear about your journey! Do you know if he does fillers? Did he use the nokor needle for your subcision? Good luck and I hope you continue to see good results!

@Katski84
Hey there, thanks alot. Yes actually he did use a Nokor needle. There was alot of popping sounds which is a good sign! He currently does not offer fillers but he said he will in the future. Im following your thread as well and would love to see you put up a proper before/after comparison photo! Respect <3

3 WEEKS POST TREATMENT
Ok, so i have not been very Good att keeping up with the suctioning and now it seems like my scars are back att square one almost. I would say the worst ones have improved about 20% att most when it comes to the depth. But the texture is strongly improved. My Dr says it takes about 6-8 weeks for the collagen to rebuild so we'll see what happens. I Guess i was way too excited for a while haha. Maybe i'll need 3 treatments to really be satisfied.

thanks for sharing, the effect on one side looks really good! I am in Sweden as well, so probably I will visit the same doctor as yours in the future. May i know how he charges, does it based on the number of scars or what...? because i have some scares in different locations, some around my nose, some around my my cheek, and a few on my forehead...I will follow your updates definitely and looking forward to your amazing result!

1 MONTH POST TREATMENT
Hello all you narcissistic f***s!!!!!.... jk..
So i met with Dr. Igor today and we had a good talk about the results and so on. He took some pictures with the same angles and lighting so that we could compare. The results are kind of underwhelming but im glad that we at least are headed in the right direction. I guess this is what they call "baby steps". I would say its a 20% improvement on the deepest most visible scars and perhaps a 30% improvement on the smaller ones. I have booked a second treatment in october and i hope that one will yield better results. Take a look at these before after shots and let me know what u think. THX!!

@Jacob a thx alot bro. The problem is that im having a problem finding the same lighting angle for every shot, so it actually looks better in some photos compared to the rest. Check out the photos my doc took.

@abcdefz Thank you so much for the comment my man (or woman). I hope you meet him and have some great results. He charges 5000kr ($550) for the full cheeks. I dont know how he would adjust the price if you would like to treat additional scars on ur forehead and stuff. I would not be surprised if he offered to do it for free. He is a generous guy!

I can clearly see a marked improvement. Ive looked at before and afters presented above and your bigger scars on both cheeks have become smaller and the tone/color of the skin resembles the sorrounding skin much more!
Im so glad that you are yielding results, cause now that doctor is on my list! Way to go mate

@Mjjmandsi hope you can achieve the improvement you desire.Why dont you find a doctor who can fill these scars with HA filler?I think you will get greeeeat improvement.After the filler dissolves you can get your 2nd subcision.I think its too soon to move on 2nd subcision in 2 months,you can give it some time (3+ months).

Can a admin please tell us his opinion on the results. Maybe I am blind but I cannot see much difference. My scars are also shallow but its really disappoiintig to see that we are in 2018 and still dont have a new treatment where we can see clearly 50 % improvement.

Maybe its the lighting but I can only see at maximum 10 % improvement.

We need new options my friends. We are all sitting ib the same boat but thats my honest opinion. It doesnt make sense if someone tells me that they can see 50 % improvement if thats maybe not true.

Thats why i want a professionell opinion from the admins

Thanks anyways buddy for sharing ur results. I really appreciate it
