Hi guys, I just finished my second course of Accutane a month ago (relapsed within 2.5 months after the first course) and I feel it's time to start thinking about treating my scars.
I've had acne since I was 15 (I'm 22 now). It was never very severe, although I used to always get persistent cystic acne. When I was 15-16 I used to mainly get forehead acne which I would pick at because I didn't know anything about skin care at the time (one of the biggest things I regret doing now) and I'm pretty sure that picking was what led to these scars.
When I asked my doctor about treating my scars he told me lasers are the only thing that work for scars and I would have to wait a year until after accutane to do it. Bascially I'd just like to get input on here on what type of scarring I have and the best possible treatments there are out there (other than lasers) that can address it.
I would not worry about it frankly as your skin is in better condition then most people here, ...forehead - is a high movement area with the forehead muscles and lots of veins / arteries, also very little fat.
I don't see scars per say. I see tiny lines on your forehead, botox is for that.They can do subcision to the slight boxcars wile doing botox or you can do a light peel.
You can also buy a dermastamp and try that at home
I again would do nothing, it's not worth the cost or the side effects..
Do not touch your beautiful skin. Usually I'll be right there with a snarky comment for people with nearly perfect skin coming onto these forums. But honestly don't do anything, and potentially wreck your good skin. You know most of the people here would be out seizing life if they had this skin.
