First, some clarification. TCA peel ain't the same as TCA Cross. TCA Cross should be considered like any other surgical treatments and, as such, it should require 3 month interval. That's just how long collagen production takes. The older you are, the longer it takes.
I can speak from my own experience (with Infini and subcision, not Cross) that longer you wait, better the outcome. I've had the absolute crap result when I repeated the treatment in less than 3 months. The ones that I had the best result were the ones I waited up to 6 months.
Never to long man to do treatment, as Sirius said as you get older it just takes longer to recover. Some wait years between.
For ethnic skin do tretinorin / retin a and hydroquinone 3 weeks before with a week break to prep and prevent discoloration.
Dermablend helps cover the weeks of red wounding.
Of course bigger ones will get wider but the floor of the scar raises. Then you can resurface everything (tca peel or erbium) when it gets to where you want to be. This is why most doctors treat "smaller" box cars and mostly icepicks.

I believe you need a prescription for hydroquinone and retin A.
I see my Dr. in a few weeks so i do not think i can get a hold of the bleach or retin a.
Last time, i did use any of those pre or post the surgery.

Not in America, ... but perhaps where you live. I know in Spain I walked into a pharmacy and they had retin a / tretinorin OTC. Latin America as well. USA has differin. Order it online should be easy. Regarding hydroquinone does not have to be that, get any skin bleaching complex with Albutin and Konjic is also a option.
You will be fine using it, take a week break as I said before treatment. Or reschedule appt if it concerns you. I would use this before and after you heal to avoid hyperpigmentation.

Sorry, what I meant was CROSS shouldn't be on a same par with the PEEL. You can do peels every month since our skin exfoliates every 28 days or so. But not CROSS, which should be done no sooner than 3 months. Anyway, your call.

I actually have retin a OTC that i bought a year or so ago online, so maybe that still works.
I did TCA Cross(spot) on two boxcars. It scabed in a week only, took another week to heal, after the scab fell of I got two deep holes, twice deeper then original scars. It took about three months to heal, it healed to the same point how it was before and got the whitish middle, so no improvement.
TCA CROSS at 80% has a predictable heal time of exactly 6 days. Single coat, to the CORRECT scar type. If it scabs, you have messed up, especially with box car scars. CROSS was first used to treat ICE PICK, then extended to pick scars, linear scars, narrow box car scars. If you have true box car scars a lower concentration is needed. If it scabs it take off the new granulation tissue, making your scar worse. 50% of results depends on your specialist, the other 50% depends on your post op or post peel care. @sibel its not the end of the World, see a reputablespecialist and they caneasily fix up your scars.
