Accutane Procedure

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone I'm new here. A little background information; I'm 18 years old and have had acne for about 4 years and it's gradually gotten worse. Now it's become severe and I hope to go on accutane soon. I just wanted to know the procedure that you guys went through in order to get accutane. Also, I've already visited the dermatologist today and they made me sign the iPledge forms and I got my blood test the same day. How long would it be untill I actually get a hold of my prescription ?

I think that is very individual for everyone. I just remember from my treatment that I had to wait less than week because I had everything okay. But be careful. Treatment can be a pain in the ass. A lot of side effects such as

  • Chapped/dry lips.
  • Skin dryness and itching.
  • Nasal dryness and mild nosebleed.
  • Joint, muscle and back pains.
  • Mild headaches.
  • Temporary hair thinning.
  • Mild intestinal symptoms and urinary symptoms.
  • Increased sun sensitivity.

If you want to read more about that, you can check here https://www.skinhelpers.com/accutane-review/
a pretty good review by the expert or in general just google some extra reviews to make sure that you know what to expect.

But anyway, treatment is very effective if you follow the rules. (party sucks a bit coz you can not drink haha).

    Good luck
