What type of acne scar is this? Also, what is recommended?

Recommended Posts

Hi. This is not my photo, but I'm dealing with the same type of acne scars. Do different types of acne scars get treated differently or just the same? Also, what do you recommend? I have lost weight in 2016. It's not even a big weight loss and I wasn't overweight, just 20 lbs. But I feel like my face has looked older, my acne scars look bigger and I lost the "bloom", I look like I'm always stressed. Please help!

This is shallow boxcar scars. A couple sessions of Infini coupled with HA fillers would clean the mess up nicely. Any leftover surface irregularity like defined scar edges can be smoothed out with either laser or TCA peel.

Sunken cheeks can be corrected by injecting fillers like Voluma. Next time, be very careful about losing weight. You'll want to do it gradually, not suddenly.

Agree with @Sirius Lee, I do think you have some vertical tethered scars, try to combine Infini RF with subcision. The logic is that subcision treats the scars from a horizontal plane, and all other devices from a vertical. If you have attachments, combining two treatments in the same session will address the vectors of scarring 3 dimensionally. Be careful with your Infini sessions, remember if you have volume loss, going down 3.5 mm with high energy can often go into the mid fat layer, so see someone well versed with this device. Intensif in YOUR case maybe safer if its done by non specialist, but Infini is safe - just as long as the watts and pulse duration is short, and the doctor does not pulse stack. Agree with a few HA filling-subcision sessions at the end. You should get a good result. I notice you also haves some adult jawline hormonal acne- possibly treat this? Wish you well.
