Large pores and light scarring dermarolling?

Recommended Posts

I have large pores in my t-zone and some light scaring on my cheeks. I've been reading about microneedling and have experience dermarolling stretch marks with okay results. I've read very mixed reviews on microneedling and reducing pore size and I'm wondering if I should try, but I'm scared I'll make my pores larger somehow.

Should I try dermarolling for large pores and mild, shallow scarring? What size needles should I use? Would a dermastamp be more effective/safer? Lastly, what serums should I use? (any recommendations would be amazing)

Thank you!

In my experience microneedling does not reduce pore size. Laser can as it's ablating tissue, but then there are side effects. RF Microneedling can shrink the pores. TCA Cross is effective for scared /large pores.

You would have to post a picture of your scars to really get advice as I am not sure what's going on.

For "some" scarring dermastamping is ok. Yes micronedling causes microtears, dermastamping does not.
1.5mm, HA serim is all you need. Use Tretinorin / retin A/ Differin at night when your not microneedling.

Please read the FAQ microneedling section.
