I'm on month 5 absorica (accutane) 25mg twice a day. Female 105 lbs. Birth control pills. No serious side effects other than low white blood cells. Still breaking out horribly even though I'm doing everything right.
I'm very sad and I want to talk to a doctor about it but I'm afraid my dermatologist will find out and take me off accutane. I'm even trying to get her to increase my dose. Will my dermatologist be able to know I'm in therapy even if I lie? I cannot risk going off accutane for any reason even if it's doing jack. I've tried everything else and this is my last chance.
Go to the doctor immediately. Unfortunately they probably will not have much knowledge so
you should ask them to research it.
Do you realise that accutane doesn't just cause depression it causes psychosis.
You may no be in control - this is very serious.
You should also be aware that stopping the drug may not be enough to combat the depression.
