Not sure what to do next

Hi all, I just started treating my scars last summer, and i'm planning on doing some more treatments this summer. Last year all i did was two sessions of dermapen at a med spa and had two of my scars subcised by novick. I haven't really noticed anything from the dermapen it may have actually made my texture worse but im not sure. Its been 3 months since my subcision with Novick and i do notice some slight improvement in those two scars but nothing to do cartwheels over. So i'm wondering what I should do next. I could go back to Novick (which is an 8 hr drive for me) and get more subcision done. He suggested doing a "field subcision" on my whole face i opted for just 2 scars to see how it went. I have also found a doctor near me who does infini. They only charge 500 per treatment which sounds pretty good seeing most people charge 1000 per treatment. So I'm looking for advice on what you guys think I would get more improvement from. Novick's "field subcision" or infini? Or maybe something else. Infini kinda scares me I've seen some people with long recovery times and no improvement, grid marks, and I read it can cause fat loss.  Anyway if u could take a look at my scars any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Horus,
I think we have similar skin issues.  It looks like you have scarred pores/texture issues. I am having a series of Clear and Brilliant treatments primarly to help with my melasma but it would be a big bonus for me if it helps me with my texture as well!! I am back on Retin-a and that might help you as well after a long period of time as long as you commit to wearing a sunscreen everyday for the rest of your life. I really dont know what works as I haven't has much success myself but to be very honest with you I think your skin looks normal. Its not  smooth poreless skin but its not bad either. I know that we are our worst critics but as an outsider I really think its pretty minor:)

Subcision is for rolling and boxcar with depth and you only have one that i can see.you got ice picks and scarred pores and tca cross is best treatment for ice picks and tca peels for scarred pores.

Your scar ain't deep enough for subcision IMO. Hence you didn't see much improvement from the two pits subcised by Novick. Your best bet is to get a filler and then sand down the surface irregularity with laser.

Thanks for the replies. So it sounds like I need to look into different treatments. I have read about tca peels and would like to try it. I've seen some people have gotten good results on this forum with tca cross and peels. The thought of acid on my face kinda freaks me out but i guess if i do my research and do a test spot first i should be ok. Laser on the other hand scares the hell out of me. I haven't read about too many people happy with their laser results. Do you guys think microneedling is a waste of time for my issues? Also what kind of recovery time is there for a tca peel I know I will probably need many. My icepicks dont bother me so much but I would really like to smooth out the uneven texture. Is that possible with peels?

I am no expert, but possibly consider -
1. TCA CROSS to the pits and ice pick (few scars).
2. INFINI RF with the correct settings by a specialist - same session as TCA CROSS.
3. What ever is left, subcision and HA filler by Novick.... easy done in one session.

The TCA and INFINI combination may need 2-3 sessions. Be careful as you have low percentage mid facial fat, so the PD (pulse duration)
and energy level of your RF and level has to be exact, and conservative, including needle depth. Pores and textural changes can be addressed with RF microneedling (1 mm depth, PD of 380, level 7-9, check for carbon build up after 40-50 shots). At that depth can overlap the passes.

Not a hard job, but need the right people. I wish you well.

@Obi wan Thanks for the info. Any idea where I would find someone that experienced with infini? I have only found one Doc Offering it near me, and I'm not sure how experienced they are. All the photos they showed me were from the company not from their office. I'm in Ohio, but would travel for the right Doc. Any suggestions appreciated.
