Decided to make a little log on my acne.org regimen adventure.. Tried everything on and off the shelfs, dermatologists, prescriptions, home remedies, retin-a.. this is pretty much my last shot at trying to clear my adult acne before considering Accutane.. 27 year old male- acne prone. have always had acne but started getting worse than ever a few years back.. moderate cystic acne (but in my eyes its severe).. sick and tired of dealing with this shit. im sure you all know how I feel..

I do try to eat healthier than I did, but I don't do this perfect.. not much dairy at all (a slice or two of cheese a day ) which im going to try and also cut out, a lot more water and no soda, low sugar intake, one coffee a day ( also going to try and cut out ) hit the gym 3-5 days a week. Also take a few supplements. Zinc, Vitamin A, Vitamin E... Found this regimen while lurking online and decided to give it a go... initially I thought it was bullshit and another scam to take my money but saw slight results in just a few days and the proof is in the pudding...

8-21-2017 (...week 1.) First 3 days of the regimen I used 10% benzol peroxide and let dry on my face. washed off after 20 minutes and moisturized. did this twice a day.. (misread the regimen.. dident know i had to leave BP on ) within 3 days of doing this I started to see a slight reduction in inflammation and redness in my acne/ cysts.. right then and there I had a glimmer of hope..
days 4-7 I started using 2.5% and followed Dan's regimen more carefully. picked up some moisturizer and jojoba oil.. after just a week my face seems more calm, less irritated/inflamed.. but at the same time, more red and flakey.. kind of an oxymoron- I know, but I don't know how elseto explain it. the BP seems to be killing the bacteria but at the same time irritating my skin in the process which I know is normal in the beginning. ill deal with red and flakey over cysts and whiteheads any day.. starting week 2 and I am both a bit nervous and excited to see how well this works....

I DO plan on buying Dan's products once my BP is out.Comparing how much I spent at CVS for BP and moisturizer, the price for his products is not a bad deal at all. ( I JUST LACK PATIENCE ). thanks for reading.

8-30-2013 .. day 3 of second week.. no new whiteheads or cysts .. some stubborn cysts that were deep in the skin starting to come to the surface along with some blackheads .. ordering Dan's products right now..

QUESTION... HOW LONG DID IT TAKE FOR YOU GUYS TO START SEEING POSITIVE RESULTS??

9-3-17.

2 week mark on the regimen.. a few cysts that have been lingering for a while finally coming to the surface .. 2 out of 4 on problem areas (cheeks) came to a head today so I drained them.. consider this the "purge" phase.. no new acne forming besides one small whitehead that went away quickly.. cysts are inflamed, red and ugly. But I know there's only one way for Them to go... looking forward to seeing what the next week on this regimen brings. Feeling hopeful about this regimen. Fingers crossed...

has as anyone else had experience with cysts coming to surface on this regimen?

9-4-17 .. WEEK 3 DAY 1

drained cysts are VERY red and irritated... don't want to leave the house. face is a mess... not much new acne is forming.. couple of whiteheads here and there.. trying to stay positive/hopeful... hoping week 3 shows some better results (less purging and more healing ) HOW DARK IT IS BEFORE THE DAWN!!!

9-6-17

day 3 week 3... skin is flakey around cysts that drained. still irritated and very red.. no new acne is forming.. old acne seems to be SLOWLY healing.. scars and red marks standing out.. very annoying. Sticking with the regimen with my fingers crossed.. slowly increasing amount of BP adding a little extra to problem areas.. currently using 2.5% Neutrogena "on the spot" BP gel and "La Roche-Posay" moisturizer twice a day. Waiting for acne.org products to arrive.

9/11/17 --- WEEK 4 - DAY 1

first day of 4 week mark andmy skinis looking pretty decent .. redness/irritation from cysts are finally starting to disappear slowly.. no new acne is forming. skin looks and feels smoother. very slow process for a very impatient person but overall I am happy with my progress thus far.. now what I am left with is hyperpigmentation and blemishes.. (still have some acnedeep within skin/blackheads on my nose but they are coming to the surface). Try my hardest not to touch/ pick at my face..

9/14/17: WEEK 4 DAY 4..

not much to say on this update.. got Dan's products in the mail. Have been using the steam room at the gym after working out 4-5 times a week to help pores open up and bring impurities to the surface.. Also started taking Whey protein after gym sessions which I don'tthink is the best idea but i will stop if i see any negative effects..Skin is looking OKAY overall.. its been very hot the past couple of days so my acne marks/blemishes are kind of red from the sun. Going to add AHA into my regimen within the next day or two

WEEK 5 DAY 1:

have seen great improvement over the last 4 weeks.. on day 1 of week 5 now... My biggest problem when it comes to acne is that I am impatient.. skin improves and my mind forgets how bad my skin was even a week or a month ago. I WANT CLEAR SKIN YESTERDAY.. I have not had any new whiteheads pop up in the past week or two which is a good sign. one cyst popped up on my cheek but other than that, skin is definitely improving.. Red marks and hyper pigmentation is what I am dealing with now which is aggravating. Going to be incorporating AHA with my nightly moisturizer- hopefully that helps.. my face is still a bit red though, don't know why my skin is not used to the BP yet...

WEEK 5 DAY 5 : 9/22/17

No new acne is forming.. most of my acne is deep under the skin so some of it is still coming to the surface but not visible unless very closely examined. (a lot of my zits don't grow heads).. skin is looking much better than it was a few weeks ago.. finally starting to feel okay with myself looking in the mirror.. dealing with marks and hyper pigmentation but even that seems to be slowly fading.... so farI am VERY pleased with the regimen.. glad I found it.. Was thinking about incorporating retin-A into my regimen somehow.. maybe a few times a week, but this regimen seems to be working fine, so ill stick it out..

9/25/17-- week 6-day 1

Not too much to update.. skin is still improving.. started incorporating Dan's AHA into my regimen.. been mixing It 50/50 with moisturizer at night every other day and it seems to be helping a lot. not sure if its just in my head but my complexion is looking healthier..

10-16-17 .. coming up on 2 month mark and overall I am satisfied with the regimen thus far... still have acne deep underneath skin and I am hoping that it will clear up soon.. haven't had a whitehead pop up in quite some time, but 2 new cysts have come to the surface.. I am guessing its just all slowly coming to the surface... red marks/ hyper pigmentation is slowly fading... skin is still far from perfect but has improved greatly the past 2 months.. I do have some ice pick scarring on my cheeks from years of acne. made an appointment with a skin specialist for the 23rd to see what the best options are for me.. Ifthe acne deep under my skin does not start to subside within the next month or two, I am going to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist and possibly try Accutane or Retin-A.

I just stumbled across this site and read your logs. Thanks for posting!
I am new so quick question what is the Dans Regimen i keep seeing?how can I incorporate BP? Can i use regular bp and dilute it? I have alot of under the skin pimples that keep coming to surface:(
To answer your question yes Kojic Acid will definitely help but depends on the product. I think you will love the Fade Peel from Make Up Artists Choice. The site has been the best kept secret ever!! I just wanted to mention it since i know it contains kojic acid + lactic + glycolic! I love the fade peel. I get no flaking, helps my hyperpigmentation and smooths out my texture. Make sure to follow instructions plus you can buy a sample which I recommend. I am not sure if kojic acid alone would be better. But just an fyi!
good luck and keep posting!

sorry.. haven't posted in some time.. but to answer your question, im not quite sure.. IN MY EXPERIENCE with hyper pigmentation - the best cure for that is TIME.... Trust me I know - TIME is a dirty word and not something I wanted to hear either but its been true.. Ive seen dramatic results in my hyper pigmentation just by following the regimen and waiting it out.

welcome..Ive triedso many remedies, face washes, dermatologist prescriptions etc.until I finally foundthis regimen and honestly its been great.. Has DRAMATICALLYimproved my acne.Im still not %100 clear, but im okay with that.. The regimencan be found on theHome screen of Acne.org .. As far as diluting products, you can try butI would just go ahead and orderDan's products..prices arereasonable.( you can also buy 2.5% BPmade byNeutrogena ) but it comes in small tubes and can get quite expensive.. better off just getting Dan's products.. I really like his Face wash as its gentle foaming and the BP is great as well.. 5-10% BP is simply just too strong forthe regimen..His moisturizer is OKAY,Ive never been big on moisturizer in general but I did incorporate it religiously the first few months on this regimen as my face dried out.

Havent posted in a while.. So im about 4 and a half months in on the regimen andive seen a lot of improvement.. I must admit ive slowed down a lot on the regimen.. Still cleansing twice a day with Dan'sface wash but usuallyonly applying BP once a day before bed..My skin has improved a ton the past 4+ months since I found this Regimen and I AM GRATEFUL FOR THAT!!! I am left with some ice pick scarring which I plan to treat with TCA cross method 50%.. I tested 3-4 deep scars about a month and half ago just to see how my skin reacted and the TCA seems to work great.. Its a very slow healing process but my scars have definitely risen up a bit.. Plan to do The cross in small increments as I really don't want to have a shit ton of hyperpigmentation all over my cheeks at once.. Plan on doing a few scars at a time and alternating.. To each his own

6 months into the regimen and haven't had any serious breakouts in months... as I stated in past posts, I was super skeptical about this regimen because I have tried everything up until the point I found acne.org, but it has been a god send.. absolutely sold on this regimen.. still use Dan's face wash twice a day and currently just applying BP once before bed and that seems to work fine to keep my acne at bay.. I still suffer with ice pick scarring mainly on my cheeks. I tried TCA cross a couple of months back and did not see much results. Plan on getting Microneedling done to help with the scarring.. Will updateafter getting my first procedure done

sorry for the late response - Havent been on here in a while! my skin is looking really good.. My skin was red and irritated with the BP for the first couple of months but i am now use to the BP and I no longer get red when applying it..

I havent posted in over a year - I cant believe its been that long.. Reason I havent posted is because my acne is practically non-existent due to Dan's simple regimen.. After my acne cleared up i was left with alot of ice pick / rolling scars.. I had 2 microneedling procedures done and the physician had mercy on me ( went pretty deep/aggressive) and that helped alot with my rolling scars- but did not do much for my ice pick scars... I have done alot of research and hard alot about TCA-CROSS and decided to give it an honest attempt and WOW...... I used 50% TCA on my ice pick scars and followed directions carefully.. MY ICE PICK SCARS HAVE FILLED IN BY ATLEAST 30-40% ON MY FIRST PASS!! I am extremely pleased with the results.. I ordered some 75% TCA and plan to do a second round within the next week. I will continue to TCA CROSS until i am pleased with how my scarring looks.. Only reason I came back to post on this forum after so long is to hopefully give somebody HOPE... 2 years ago I WAS HOPELESS- DEPRESSED - COULDNT LOOK IN THE MIRROR.... I was not a happy camper -- there are solutions and there is HOPE... all it takes is some trust- PATIENCE- and consistency ..
