Strongly recommend needling!

Recommended Posts

I just want to post here again in the hope that someone suffering scars will have a greater chance of catching on to needling if they haven't heard of it yet--the old post is relatively hard to find if you've never heard of it.

I posted earlier wondering if I could have TCA after needling...before it had even been a full two weeks after having needling done! It is now the 15th day and honestly, even to me (and I am extremely hypercritical since I used to have great skin until 4 months ago), my face just looks like I have a ruddy complexion. The scars are rising everyday, the skin is less red everyday and I have a suspicion that if I put on makeup, they would be non existent! I can't test that suspicion because I don't own any makeup... eusa_sick.gif

Of course, nutrition is the most important part of my life and that is why my healng is so excellent. But I am willing to answer any questions relating to anything! I am also wondering if anyone can point me to any other scar treatment boards (not acne related) so that I can let more people know about it! I don't want to be a preacher, but I just really want to possibly ameliorate (that's a perfect word for what effect this has had on the horrible sick feeling I had/have about my scars) the pain others must be feeling too.

So, if you have relatively new scars, or even if not, and don't know what I'm talking about, please feel free to ask me and I'll point you to sources, tell you more about my experience...or you can do a search for "skin needling" on the boards.

I also ordered CP serum and IG-R gel from puredeming.com (so far, I'm delighted with her service, friendliness, the VERY reasonable pricing, the non-consumerist nature of the site, and the quickness of shipping. I ordered it yesterday at 7 and it was shipped today at 2:30.

For those still suffering from acne or other health problems, I suggest you trully educate yourselves about the shit that they put in our foods and the abuse the bio-medical health care serves up to us because of their foolish attempt to treat symptoms instead of a cause.

Wow...this is probably an annoying post--but I celebrate the pleasurable anonymity of the internet smile.gif.

After reading more about TCA, I don't think I'll ever be getting it, whether or not my scars improve from here on or not!

Also, thank you to Denise, who is definitely experienced and helpful and kind. smile.gif

I just had to release all of that.

HI there. I'm glad to hear you've had such success with your needling. I don't at all mean to bring you down, but if it's only been a few weeks, there may still be some residual swelling (even if it doesn't look that way), but the good news is that the real boost from needling is supposed to come after a few months. I guess that's all just to say that if the improvement seems to recede a bit in the next few weeks, don't let that get you down, because I bet you will see another pattern of improvement in the 2-3 months to follow.

I totally agree with you about the connection of healing to nutrition and about the astonishing amount of crap we put into our bodies. Have you read any of Dr. Andrew Weil's books? Very intelligent and sensible stuff.

Best of luck to you

Hey [censored name]. You had a tattoo artist perform your needling treatment?

What kind of diet to you follow? I agree with you about finding a nutrious diet to help your body. There is so much garbage in our foods today regardless of how your body processes it. Then we wonder why children are obese and adults are becoming diabetic at an alarming rate. I really feel strongly now that I will go the same route you have gone and have my scars needled. I will make it a Christmas present to myself. It's long overdue! biggrin.gif

I am happy that you are satisfied with your results. I would definitely wait about 3 months before judging the final outcome. I hope things continue to go well for you. smile.gif

Hello Everyone!

Yesterday was my 1 month anniversary of needling. Update? My skin looks much better than it did a week ago. A week ago it was still discolored/pinkish/red and today it is turning a light brown color (my natural color). The scars themselves are still slightly discolored, not terribly noticable. I have seem an icepick scar fill in everday and although it is undoubtedly there it has gone from a bottomless pit to a farily shallow, but wider icepick that I can see the bottom of--which is full of a pinkish/red skin. Umm...what else can I say...there are a few scars that have actually returned compared to last week...actually only 2 that are interconnected and could very well be one scar. I wouldn't say they are not improved at all, but the improvement is probably something like 25%. The rest have improved 70% as compared to the 50% I assessed last week. From an arm's length away, my skin looks...uneven? In weird lighting some rolling scars are still apparent, but looking straight at my face are virtually undetectable.

I'm fairly obsessed with my skin and actually have the probably harmful goal of getting near-flawless skin. The scars are in a small area, are greatly reduced and I have a plan. At the three month mark I plan on getting needled again. Three months after that, depending on the condition of my skin, I will consider a resurfacing procedure that will most likely, given the shallowness of my scars, give me the appearance of scar eradication.

And the result of all of this is that I know a shit load about the physiology of the epidermis...

Hope you all are doing well. People on this forum, perhaps because you all understand pain and shame and more often than not, irrational self-consciousness, you all have become compasionate people. smile.gif

In case anyone remains interested, I will update at the three month mark--in February--before my next needling.

I just wanted to add something about needling. I perform the procedure and am looking for technicians across the country who also perform this procedure. I am trying to put together a data base for the country so people who need this can contact me and I can refer clients to them. This goes for tatooist, doctors or permanent cosmetic specialists. So if any of you have had the treatments, please let your tech know about this and have them contact me at [email protected] Also right now I am on a giant search for people interested in having the needling done at a greatly discounted price. We need people to take before and after pics of to be put into a training manual about needling and to be used at a presentation in August about the subject. If anyone is interested ,please contact me personally.
